How wide is the space where nothing ever begins?

I wanted to show the shape of nothingness by rendering the void as its own impossibly dense subject—a presence that is defined only by absence. Here I ask what it means to see where there should be nothing: how do the eyes register the vertigo of endless, undifferentiated darkness, subtly disturbed by phantom mists and the briefest suggestion of matter flickering in and out of being? This image investigates the oppressive embrace of the cosmic void, using layered gauze mists, absence-driven materials, and visual silence to make palpable the nausea and agoraphobic calm at infinity’s heart.
