No Shape Survives: The Texture of Infinite Sand.
I wanted to photograph nothing by drowning the camera in the interior of an endless, granular desert—where the urge for structure or horizon is annihilated by the uniformity and scale of swirling formlessness. Here I ask what it means to exist in a place without place, where individuality dissolves in an inescapable, sunlit monotony. This image investigates the agoraphobic vertigo induced not by empty space, but by overwhelming, granular sameness—each sand grain, eerily separate, joined only by its indistinguishability among billions. The cosmic void becomes tactile: a suffocating, ever-collapsing field of golden, blinding sand with no edge to grasp.
