When the void looks back, do you disappear?
How heavy is one shard against infinite nothing?
Photographing Emptiness: The Violence of Presence in Absolute Void
Here I ask: what does it mean for something to exist—alone—in a cosmos stripped even of the expectation of observers? I wanted to show a shard of impossible density, oscillating as if haunted by vanished gravity, as the only punctuation in a void so pure it threatens to erase even the concept of 'object.' The jagged monolith is both defiance and surrender, flashing with spectral color while being swallowed by a darkness so oppressive it becomes a sentient pressure. The visual experiment seeks to make absence itself not background, but the most crushing subject of all.
