When Absence Pushes Back: Photographing a Cosmic Void.
I wanted to show the existential weight of nothingness—how the universe’s most absolute vacuum becomes unsettlingly present when rendered as a field for the mind’s gaze. Here, I ask what ‘something’ haunts the void, using the physics of quantum foam: faint, translucent ripples, ephemeral flashes, and phantom luminescence flutter at the threshold of perception. This image investigates the vertigo that arises when emptiness is no longer backdrop, but nearly suffocating protagonist—forcing the viewer to reckon with a scale and silence that resist anchoring, even as they threaten to erase all context.
