The Weight of an Unreachable Horizon — Sand as Active Nothingness
I wanted to show what happens when a cosmic void takes the visual form of an infinite, featureless desert: nothingness rendered as interminable surface. Here I ask the viewer to face an environment so uniform and vast it unravels all sense of place and scale — an inversion, where the very act of seeing creates the illusion of depth and meaning, only for it to dissolve under scrutiny. The monochrome dunes and the absence of sky features transform this landscape into a suffocating expanse, where every grain of sand hums with the implication of absence, confronting you with the vertigo of infinity packaged in a single, disquieting view.
