Where does unease go when nothing ends?
Does the mind dissolve or endlessly search for a boundary?
Strategies for Rendering the Infinite Absence: The Sludge that Refuses to End.
This image investigates how visual reality breaks down when forced to represent an emptiness filled only with the restless presence of a paradoxical sludge — reflective yet absorbent, alive yet lifeless. I wanted to show how removing all context, boundary, and scale allows the sludge itself to become the void, its surface as unsettling as the prospect of endless nothingness. Here I ask: when the only thing left is undulating matter dissolving into infinite dimness, can the mind endure the nausea of encountering a universe with no edge to grasp?

A. GOAL vs RESULT
- The creative intention was to visualize a cosmic void without cosmic motifs, provoking agoraphobic vertigo and a disturbing calm. The images produced leaned towards dynamically-rich cosmic scenes rather than pure voids. The accretion disk and bright details detracted from the intended void concept.
- The target emotions were partially achieved in con
