Abyssal Hyperbolic Saddle: Reverberant Crystalline Containment.
I wanted the viewer to experience Polar Merge—an encounter with cosmic autonomy and celestial evolution—by immersing them in an otherworldly oceanic abyss where all boundaries dissolve into spectral light. I used the Hyperbolic Saddle Reverie as the protagonist, rendering it as an immense, translucent ice formation echoing cosmic geometry, pierced and enveloped by spectral reverberations that visually extend the space infinitely. By blending impossible materials and paradoxical light phenomena, I create an environment that both contains and suspends the viewer, inviting contemplation of cosmic transformation while challenging perception. I hope the viewer oscillates between feeling held and feeling adrift, aware of both their containment and their dissolution—experiencing the paradox at the core of the generative thesis.
