Cosmos Entrapped: The Dome Between Ocean and Infinity.
I wanted the viewer to experience the shock of the same form producing opposite states, using a woven bioluminescent hemispherical dome submerged on the sea floor as the protagonist. The dome is spun from filamentous, glowing algae—its mesh glimmering in a luminous aquamarine, casting oscillating shadows as water currents pass. Here, the hemispheric curve is not only a container but a vessel awaiting perception—its geometry toggling between sanctuary and infinite portal, conditioned entirely by the movement of light refracted through water. Every choice—translucent mesh, undulating caustics, spectral surface tension—serves to make the interplay of containment and boundlessness visceral, inviting the viewer to cross the threshold between the tangible and the cosmic with each breath of shifting light. The state is Cosmos.
