Horizon Vessel: The Dome Before Meaning.
I wanted the viewer to experience the shock of the same form producing opposite states, using the dome’s curvature as a pure vessel at the frontier of perception. I framed the hemisphere within a fractured horizon—its sand-carved silhouette oscillates between monumental interior and boundless exterior, filled only by the viewer’s fluctuating gaze. Granite outcrops, mirage bands, and rare tufts of glass-blade flora punctuate the sand, each fragment echoing the dome’s endless neutrality. Here, the transition is not in material but in awareness: the dome reveals itself as neither desert nor cosmos, but the emptiness in which both arise.
