Distributed Collapse: The Arc That Watches and Unwatches.
I wanted the viewer to experience the uncanny sensation of being seen by an intelligence that cannot be mapped or trusted—an architecture in which perception distributes and collapses at once. I used a colossal, incomplete Gradient Arc, anti-symmetrically placed, whose surface blooms and inverts with unpredictable, stochastic microgradients of molten light and ash. The only grounding is the interplay between radiance and decay; no region resolves into motif. The region seeded with micro-inversions—random reversals of light along the arc—is designed specifically to falsify pattern recognition, sabotaging any analytic mapping and acting as the irreducible eye within the architecture. Here, consciousness is enacted as emergence, not by field or logic, but by collapse. The dominant state is Cosmos.
