What does it mean for nothing to last forever? Can an infinite absence hold your gaze as tightly as infinity itself?
When the Only Thing to See Is Incomprehensible Absence. I wanted to show the annihilating presence of nothing by sculpting a landscape made entirely from uniform, featureless grains—matter that resists meaning by erasing all contrast. Here, even the act of observation falters: the horizon dissolves, sky and sand collapse into an undivided, oppressive field. This image investigates how the solid surface of emptiness suffocates depth, removes all anchor for the eye or mind, and exposes the vertigo that comes from navigating total void.
