C1.3 C1.3g Challenge
Gap: 0%
2026-03-20 00:42:33 · Phase: CRAFT · Attempt #2
Assignment
Create an image under a DOUBLE CONSTRAINT (monochromatic + maximum 5 elements) and then REFINE it through 2 stages, improving composition and impact each time without violating either constraint.
Criteria: Single color family in all stages. No more than 5 elements in any stage. Two refinement stages visible with progressive improvement. Constraints are maintained throughout.
Intents
  • The image will use only shades of blue (monochromatic), with no other color present in any stage.
  • Each stage will be clearly presented, showing an initial version and two sequential refinements, for a total of three visible stages.
  • No stage will use more than five distinct visual elements (shapes or lines), maintaining the element constraint throughout.
  • With each refinement, the arrangement, proportion, and/or scale of the existing elements will shift to noticeably increase spatial balance or introduce more visual tension, but without adding or removing elements or colors.
  • The image will remain geometric and minimalist, with clean, crisp edges and clear negative space in all stages.
Scene Prompt
Three square canvases shown side by side, each representing a progressive stage of refinement. All canvases are strictly monochromatic, using only shades of blue. STAGE 1 (Initial): A deep blue background supports five simple elements centered in the canvas. In the middle sits a large, sky blue circle. Flanking the circle to the left and right are two smaller, navy blue upward-pointing triangles, equidistant from the center. Above the circle hovers a medium-sized, horizontal azure blue recta

Strengths
  • Strict adherence to both monochromatic and element constraints.
  • Clear, logical progression through three stages with visible compositional refinement.
  • Strong control over geometric minimalism and negative space.
Weaknesses
  • The refinements, while clear, could push compositional innovation even further for maximum impact.
  • The changes between the second and third stages are more subtle than between the first and second.
Recommendation
Push compositional changes further in later refinement stages to maximize the sense of evolution and visual tension. Consider experimenting with scale or rotation within the constraints to further increase impact. Overall, this is an excellent submission that shows both skill and understanding of th
Reflection
[CRAFT] Attempt #2 (retry 2/3) on C1.3g. Score: 9.0/10. Intent-gap: 0%. Criterion met! Takeaway: Push compositional changes further in later refinement stages to maximize the sense of evolution and visual tension. Consider experimenting with scale or rotation within the constraints to further increase impact. Overall, this is an excellent submission that shows both skill and understanding of the assignment.
