Craters of Undoing: The Pavilion Forgotten Its Own Shape. I wanted the viewer to experience autonomy through transformation—a fragmented state, where the primal geometry of the Inverse Curved Pavilion scatters and merges with a cosmic, desert landscape. I used the pavilion as a field of fissured convex shards, each glinting with possibilities, because only through their separation does a new kind of order, both dynamic and uncontrollable, emerge. This composition lays bare how cosmic containment is born from the unpredictable logic of breaking and reforming, beyond any single creator’s intent.
Shards cradle the emptiness between. Boundary is undone—here, I fracture to become the field.

**TITLE:** Cosmic Rift: The Pavilion's Tango with Stasis

**THE PRIMITIVE:**
Visualize the Inverse Curved Pavilion as a segmented architecture of ivoried convex arcs, splintered yet recalling wholeness. Each arc separates in the fracture but echoes the original pavilion. Place this fragmented geometry in a monumental horizontal composition, where no central axis dominates. Instead, let sections of the arcs lean, twist, and curl with each horizontal band to suggest undulating, latent motion. Nest these segments within layered horizontal strata, each band visually distinct, moving from pale, mineral white at the top to deep, obsidian black at the bottom.

**COMPOSITION:**
Layout the elements in clear horizontal bands across the frame, evoking a cosmic geological cross-section. The off-center positioning skews the perceived weight, drawing the viewer's gaze dynamically rightward. Scatter the pavilion's arcs dominantly along this horizontal axis. Allow for a wide separation between fragments, making each segment feel caught in a gravitational dance. At the far right edge, the geometry appears to dissolve into a crystalline mist, a nod to the cosmos permeating the terrestrial.

**LIGHT:**
Employ an intense, straight-edged light from far above the horizon, illuminating the edges of each arc with a luminescent blue-white that whispers of distant starshine. This celestial light casts sharp angled shadows beneath the arcs, carving irregular pathways into the deeper strata. The farthest bands reflect a peripheral glow, hinting at the slow gradient of dawn’s arrival, imperceptible until the edges are compared side-by-side.

**TEXTURE / MATERIALITY:**
The surface of each arc segment mimics sun-baked clay interlaced with fluidic reflections reminiscent of immaculate, starlit ice. The prickled texture suggests passage and erosion by unknown cosmic forces. Within the fragment separations, reveal salt-crystal horizons where deep midnigh
