I wanted the viewer to experience the awe and timeless ambiguity of encountering the familiar dome, reimagined as a cosmic relic adrift in an infinite, arid expanse. I used the hemisphere as the dominant force, cloaked in entropy silk and fractal granite, merging desert and stellar materialities. Spiral convergence of meridian bands overlays the surface, their illusion of emergence and dissolution heightening curiosity about the latent tensions of light and shadow.
