Charcoal rubbing on rough concrete, only negative space visible, dome rendered as the absence of charcoal where the egg-like hemisphere meets the page — quietly erupting from the void, a tactile, subtractive artifact. **The viewer is immersed inside the phenomenon:** the composition is fully enveloping; the dome’s inner surface wraps the visual field with only the faintest hint of orientation, as if the eye were pressed against warm shell, nowhere to escape, all space curling in.  

**Geometry:** The dome is apertureless, seamless — its curvature mathematically perfect, but distorted by uneven pressure: dense, grit-flecked charcoal builds up along the lower right and upper left, where the curve bows nearest and recedes most sharply, while the zenith of the dome appears as pure, untouched negative space — the quiet epicenter of suspension.  The dome itself is off-center: its broadest curve sweeps up from lower right, horizonlike, and is compressed along a diagonal as it recedes into atmospheric abstraction at the upper left.  Concentric bands of omission appear as luminous streaks: each feathered, unresolvable, flickering with the granular interference of concrete grain and honeycomb ghosts.  

**Surface & Materiality:** The paper’s tooth dominates; actual flecks of concrete, dust, and imperfect fibers catch and break the charcoal line.  Where charcoal is absent, the dome glows as a soft, powdery field — bone-white at the zenith, warming to faint ochre as the rub follows the shell’s curvature toward the periphery.  Stippled ghosts of honeycomb tessellation emerge as negative imprints, compressing and folding where the curvature steepens, and blending into a moiré haze at the lower right, hinting at millennia of accreted time.  Physical erasure marks are visible as the artist’s hand lifts pressure — the dome is revealed only by omission, the surface’s history inscribed in every shift of density.
