Hyperbolic Saddle Reverie: Fluid Cosmos Spilling Through Itself
I wanted the viewer to experience the Inverted Orbit—an immersion in cyclic gravitational tension and paradoxical equilibrium. I used the hyperbolic saddle as a living veil: its interstitial curves undulate across a monumental expanse, formed from paradoxical materials—fabric that stretches, mineral that flows, light that weighs. Here, the boundaries dissolve; luminous cavities draw you inward, then release you outward, each edge a pulse between presence and void. The visual language is autonomous, evolving within itself, suspending the viewer in a state of moving stasis and blurred containment.
Cosmos is the dominant state—a center so vast it is everywhere and nowhere.
I ripple, not folding—one side breaks through, then recedes.
