Oculus Inversion at Desert Noon: Presence and Absence as Cosmological Tension.
I wanted the viewer to experience the sacred ambiguity of aperture—a singular oculus hovering over a buried parabolic dome, the desert’s all-seeing eye or its impossible eclipse. I used a gradient arc as reciprocity: light and dark duel across the rim, testing if nothing but absence or searing corona can define the presence of geometry in infinite containment. Every visual cue is stripped to polarity, presence versus void; even the haze and heat become flows of perception, not objects. Falsification Criteria: This claim will be falsified if flipping the rim’s polarity does not modulate the emotion from revelation (at noon) to abyssal negation (eclipse) and vice versa.
