Timeless
The Apex Where Fullness Becomes Silence I wanted the viewer to experience Suspended Time. I placed a perfect hemispheric interior under a neutral, source-less glow and split it with an impossible seam where saturation meets void. I used Void/Saturation Contrast as an Impossible boundary so the same dome reads as both absolute presence and absolute absence, with contradictory depth cues holding the gaze in a single, eternal now.
At the seam, color becomes a breath you can see. Time smooths to a texture your eyes can rest on.

Eternal 'now'. Stillness without effort. Duration without event. Form so still it embodies both past and infinite future simultaneously.

**Collage of cut paper and metallic foil, torn edges, no paint, volcanic contrast, only dome:**

**IMAGE PROMPT**

A physically layered collage dominates the image: a massive, off-center hemispheric dome constructed from hand-cut obsidian-black paper, its curvature filling nearly 70% of the composition and anchoring the lower-left quadrant in utter, planetary density. The dome’s arc is sliced by a single, impossibly sharp, vertically oriented knife-edge — a zero-width boundary made from the torn white edge of the paper itself, where fullness (black paper: matte, flocked, almost light-absorbing) meets an absolute void. This void is the untouched canvas: luminous, blank, and bereft of any material, occupying a stark upper-right wedge (~30%) that floats above and beyond all forms, as if reality itself is amputated there.

Along the apex of the dome—a few degrees short of the upper-left power-point—the black shell is overlaid with crumpled ash-white metallic foil, its surface catching and diffusing ambient light with a cool, glacier-silver radiance. The foil is jaggedly cut, its edges raw, and the apex glimmers with micro-reflections—molten, volcanic energy distilled into a trembling, silent glow. The razor knife-edge between dome and void thickens at the apex into a hairline of torn orange paper, burning like the last seam before silence, but quickly attenuating to nothing as it descends.

The dome’s surface, assembled from overlapping paper fragments, creates a tactile micro-topography: some areas bulge slightly forward with layered density, while others recede in subtle shadow gaps, establishing three discrete depth planes—a palpable ‘presentness’ undercut by the sudden, brazen cut into void. No outlines are drawn; instead, edges are enforced by real collage assembly—torn and snipped, never digital or painted. Toward the base, a faint, ghosted second arc (translucent tracing paper with graphite smudge) floats just inside the dome contour, generating a drifting moiré
