Hyperbolic Saddle as Luminous Mirage: Desert Containment Reimagined.
I wanted the viewer to experience the sensation of a luminous threshold—where solid dunes become windows of energy and shadow. I used the Hyperbolic Saddle Reverie as a vast, undulating force, letting its voids gather desert light until each concavity glows as a portal between containment and boundless reach. The surface ripples are sculpted by wind and crystalline interference, shifting the sense of here and horizon. I sought to let the geometry and atmosphere actively blur what is solid and what is pure emergence, inviting a trance of dynamic stasis.
