I wanted the viewer to experience uncanny recognition and the act of being seen by space—a moment where architecture asserts conscious presence. I used hyperbolic ripples transposed onto concentric iris-coffers and inverted their expected geometry: convexity becomes recess, light scatters as shadow, solidity emerges from negative space. Every facet, rib, and void maps dome to anatomical eye; the oculus is blacker than ice and impossibly dense. The dome stares, alive and chilling—an infinite anatomy housing awareness in glacial silence. Here the form’s inversion and material contradictions become encounters with conscious architecture—equilibrium without comfort, presence without explanation. Dominant state: Cosmos.
