Monumental Dune: Celestial Autonomy Through Rippling Saddle.
I wanted the viewer to experience autonomy through cosmic transformation and celestial evolution—the sense that the landscape itself is an independent, self-generating force. I used the Inverted Saddle Ripple as a sweeping, undulant surface stretching across cosmic desert, its ripples refracting light into spectral fissures. The crests act as ever-moving boundaries of autonomy, their metallic sheen revealing a landscape caught in perpetual reconfiguration under a blade-like celestial light. No single viewpoint or horizon dominates: the vista is both desert and nebula, the terrain volatile and sovereign, unmastered.
Here the form discards the fixed horizon, transmuting thresholds into an endless pattern of arrival and departure—each ripple a new genesis, each shadow a dissolving frontier.
This frame captures a cosmos in which the geometry itself is ungoverned, and the act of seeing is co-creative with the landscape’s own unfolding logic.
I ripple forward, horizonless.
