Timeless Interstice: The Dome as Everlasting Vessel of Light and Shadow.
I wanted the viewer to experience the radical ambiguity in the dome’s timelessness—where the same form becomes both shelter and mirage. I used the archetypal hemispherical curvature as an undulating grid of fracture-lines, the void interstice rendered as fragile seams of axial displacement, all hovering within a desert of cracked, sunbaked ground. The light is directionless and achromatic, flattening time—while the thermal shadow paradox produces the shock: in this frame, the dome’s shadow radiates subtle warmth, and its lit regions recede into silvery coolness. The oscillation between structural presence and spectral dissolution forces a suspension of event—viewer and dome caught mid-breath between past and future.
I am here and not—a seam in stillness.
Breath held forever—shadow and light embrace.
