Oculus Inversion: The Vessel’s Gaze in Fired Earth. I wanted the viewer to experience the sacred ambiguity at the heart of presence and absence—how the same cosmic aperture can both radiate and absorb. I used a boundary chorus at maximum intensity: the oculus is at once unfathomably deep and blindingly present, the terracotta dome both a kiln of light and a well of shadow. Raw cracked earth, granular void, and molten gold collide at the cosmic threshold. This experiment abandons oculus polarity as the active variable; it tests oculus materiality as the new driver of emotional polarity, with all other features held constant.

**Composition:**  
A *dramatic diagonal slash* divides the entire frame from lower-left to upper-right, slicing not only the fracture rim but the whole image’s logic. Left/below: hyper-dense, coldly lit. Right/above: total negative space. The fracture rim itself occupies the diagonal, its edge reinforced by the compositional cut — a literal and metaphysical border. There are no curves or circles outside this rim; all other background elements are dissolved into abstract gradients and interference lines parallel to the diagonal. The rim, slightly off-center and zoomed so its lower edge is cropped, is the only complete geometric object — all else is atmosphere, field, or shadow.
