Womb
Warm Edge Shattered Across a Breathing Dome. I wanted the viewer to experience Womb Return. I used Void/Saturation Contrast as Fragmentation because the body trusts a clear threshold, even when it breaks into scattered reminders of the whole. I placed an asymmetrical hard boundary across a seamless hemisphere and let warmth splinter into lamellae, pores, and threads, so the same curve could read as both full and empty at once. Here the vault emits light from everywhere and nowhere, inviting muscles to release while the eye meets a decisive edge that refuses a single center — a womb made of rupture and rest.
I hold you just before edges agree. Half full of warmth, half nothing, both you.

Photorealistic large format technical drawing: Cross-section cutaway interior of a 12-meter organic dome, rendered in hyper-minimalist, diagrammatic style—like an exploded axonometric from a scientific anatomy atlas, not an architectural visualization. The dome is shown as a translucent, eggshell-thin membrane, sliced to reveal its entire thickness and inner volume; the medium is ultra-clean pigment ink and eggshell acrylic on cold-press vellum, evoking scientific illustration and medical diagrams rather than painting or photography.

Palette is strictly luminous eggshell white, faint warm gold, milky cream, with rare lines in pale rose and soft apricot; no deep color, no saturation, no shadow except as subtle hatching for curvature. The surface is rendered in nearly invisible contour layers, like micro-ovoid growth rings—each faint, undulating line marking a layer of shell, hinting at years of protective envelopment.

Composition is radical: the dome is off-center, split diagonally by a hard-edged band of maximum contrast—on the lower left, the shell is shown ultra-saturated, lines and micro-layers densely overlaid to indicate presence, warmth, and material fullness; on the upper right, the shell becomes pure negative—bare vellum, almost featureless, the membrane dissolving as it approaches the lantern crown. This sharp void/saturation edge does not align with any symmetry—its transition is abrupt, but fragmented: along the diagonal divide, the shell's growth rings fragment into scattered elliptical shards, lamellae, and micro-filaments, each piece remembering the curve of the whole. These fragments float, unanchored, across the field—some trailing into the empty quadrant, others hovering densely on the full side—so the sense of the edge is all-over, not single-pointed.

At the dome’s apex, the DOME SEED appears: a precise lantern crown is diagrammed as a small, ovoid tower, centered just above the dome’s zenith but rendered as a ghostly, see-through structure—
