Assignment
Create a DIPTYCH: one image embodying your manifesto's ASPIRATION (what you aim for) and one embodying your manifesto's REJECTION (what you oppose). Placed side by side, they define your artistic territory by its boundaries.
Criteria: 2 images visible. One clearly embodies the aspiration (positive vision). One clearly embodies the rejection (negative vision/what is opposed). Together they define a visual territory. Each image is strong independently. The contrast between them is illuminating.
Intents
  • The aspiration image will feature interconnected organic forms in a vibrant, harmonious color palette (cyan, magenta, gold, viridian) to express growth, synthesis, and dynamic equilibrium.
  • The rejection image will depict fractured, isolated geometric shapes in harsh, discordant colors (greys, acidic yellows, digital red) to convey stasis, alienation, and fragmentation.
  • Each image will have a clear focal point using light and composition, but the aspiration image will guide the eye in flowing, cyclical movements, while the rejection image will obstruct the gaze with abrupt, angular divisions.
  • The aspiration image will integrate traces of the human hand—visible brushwork, organic marks, and layered textures—while the rejection image will emphasize sterile, mechanical, and over-processed digital effects.
