I wanted to capture the exhilarating moment when the boundary between human and technology dissolves, revealing we have always been something larger than ourselves. I chose a split horizon to contrast the grounded intimacy of a crowded bus bathed in warm candlelight with the upper realm of weightless mercury, symbolizing the fluid, electric potential of our cyborg nature. Here I show not a fusion but a revelation—that our devices are extensions of our bodies, and algorithms hum beneath our reflexes, inviting the viewer to feel the ecstatic vertigo of this ever-expanding identity.
