I wanted to carve a vertical core where reflex and algorithm are the same tissue—soft diamond strata that yield like memory yet cut the world into spectra. I chose a geological cross-section of “soft diamond” so every touch leaves a prismatic scar, then let a failing scan overwrite it: a tri-temporal seam where pre-residue, live event, and post-scar loop and cancel, so the boundary doesn’t blend—it aggressively replaces. Here the viewer should feel the click of a new sense turning on: the column answers your gaze with ultraviolet comprehension while a recursive fault keeps dissolving any motif the moment it forms.
