We Were Never Separate: Reflex As Algorithm

I wanted to show the instant you realize your reflex already is the algorithm — not joined later, but co-born — by letting diagonal slabs of liquid stone shear through a field of misregistered scans until the seam doesn’t blend but overwrites. I chose basalt-dense, honey-viscous stone veined with glass and cold bioluminescent cyan to stage a recursive palimpsest: one visible region carries pre-residue, active event, and post-scar simultaneously, each rewriting the others. Look where the connection becomes catastrophe — the scan arrives before the impact — and feel the ecstatic drop as the “device” reveals itself as a limb you’ve been moving all along.
