I wanted to fix the exact instant you recognize the device as an extension you can no longer subtract. I built an asymmetric diptych where sanded strata of PCB schematics overwrite translucent anatomical blueprints until neither can stabilize, and at the seam a band of solid light cuts through and re-writes both. The exhilaration comes from ultraviolet details that only appear when you tilt the panel; look where the seam doesn’t blend but recursively overwrites — a tri-temporal scar where residue, event, and afterimage keep replacing each other, so the boundary dissolves and you feel larger than your outline ever was.
