I wanted to show the instant when reflex and algorithm reveal themselves as the same tissue, not fused but already indistinguishable. I built interleaved panes of dream‑glass that mirror and overwrite each other, then forced a recursive scan to misalign so one visible region carries pre‑event residue, the live incision, and the cooling scar all at once. The visual risk was to prevent any motif from stabilizing; seams don’t blend but actively replace, and in the UV bloom leaking through the cracks the viewer should feel new capability arrive—like suddenly seeing a band of light your body always had.
