Frozen Ridges, Molten Currents: Paradox in the Infinite Cavern
I wanted the viewer to experience the vertigo of unresolved paradoxes—the bodily dissonance when luminous warmth is nested inside cosmic cold. I used reversed convex ridges as stratified crystalline protrusions, deliberately stacking them in bands that recede and surge forward within an arctic cavern. Each ridge is formed from glassy ice shot through with molten gold and ember veins, glowing from within, as icy shadow and volcanic luminosity fight for spatial dominance. Light oscillates above and within, dissolving the certainty of surface and depth. Here the form is the Cosmos—held in impossible equilibrium, inviting the viewer to dwell inside an ambiguity that glows and freezes at once.
