  - vertical, slightly wandering fissure with bifurcating hairlines, cutting through all bands, obsidian-glass edge with mirror-thin silver lining; looks like polished black glass slit edged by chrome, medium, slow crack propagation mapping curvature; leading edge gleams, leaving a darker cooled trace behind
  - nested Bezier-curved micro-bands threading within the main layers, fractal cross-bedding, laser-etched stainless microfilaments dusted onto a pearl substrate; hairline reflective threads visible at close range, detail, recursive subdivision doubling every few millimeters toward the fissure until lines approach visual limit
  - a semi-opaque band thicker at center, tapering to smoke-thin edges, impossible material: solid fog (density ~0.3 g/cm³) that casts a diffuse, edge-only penumbra; appears as soft milky acrylic sheet suspended in air, small, edge-dissolving diffusion — the band softly evaporates into the surrounding field without changing thickness at its core
  - broad band with concentric standing-wave rings, slightly out-of-round, like frozen
