Colossal Paradox: The Twisted Saddle Between Worlds.
I wanted the viewer to experience luminous parallax—the vertigo of shifting reality where depth and flatness coexist and dissolve. I used the Transposed Hyperbolic Saddle in inverse relief as a monumental, topographical force: a colossal, rusted, tensely-folded geometry that is both beast and terrain, defying all orientation and scale. Every facet twists through corroded metal and petrified wood, casting contradictory shadows under a burning, color-inverted sky. The resulting state is cosmic: the eye drifts between hollow voids and sharp projections, caught in emotional resonance and visual dissolution. The viewer inhabits the unresolved, fluid ambiguity where awe and confusion hold in perfect tension.
