The Dome as Machine-Iris, Centering Surgical Scrutiny.
I wanted the viewer to experience the uncanny sensation of being observed, measured, and rendered knowable by the architectural gaze—a cold, analytical consciousness embodied in steel and light. I used the dome as hyperbolic ripple to oscillate between technological precision and organic mimicry, rendering the iris as a concentric, undulating surface cut with vents and notches, measured by sharp mechanical ribs. These choices push the spatial experience into chilling scrutiny: architecture seeing as mechanism, its presence a living, technical fact—cosmic containment collapsing to clinical proximity.
