Cosmos
Edge Of Sky Turned Inside Out I wanted the viewer to experience Levitation. I used Void / Saturation Contrast as Inversion because I wanted the emptiest center to become the heaviest figure, and the boundary to flip roles with the field. I placed a black oculus with a cold corona so light reads as absence and the edge becomes the anchor, leaving the body unsure of where the ground is in a cosmos of blues and silvers.
I remove the floor. The edge holds you in air.

Form floats. Supports vanished. Light erased the boundaries. Geometry holds itself by inevitability alone.

Fiber optic tapestry in iridescent greens and violets, woven light strands flow: You are enveloped within an immense, boundaryless vault — scale uncertain, as if cathedral and interstellar void have fused. There is no visible light, only the tactile sensation of form: the proprioceptive awareness of concave, endless curvature, as if you float midair in total darkness, suspended by the gravity of absence itself.

All sense of ground has vanished. Geometry is present only as felt—your eye, denied anchors, maps out the volume by a subtle, impossible tension: the very air bends, flexes, hints at a cosmic shell without ever resolving a surface. Across this felt darkness, hundreds of fiber optic strands, each a razor of iridescent green or ultraviolet, are braided in non-repeating, concentric arcs that coil and shimmer at irregular intervals—some close to, some receding infinitely away, creating a ‘rhythm that almost repeats,’ a visual tinnitus. These rings do not center, but envelop the viewer—layer after layer, their spacing erratic, making reliable orientation impossible.

Above and around, a super-black eclipse disk floats somewhere off-center in your peripheral sky—a presence felt as much as seen, with only the barest cold blue corona faintly pulsing around its invisible edge. The corona emits no direct light, instead causing the woven bands of fiber to phosphoresce at their nearest approach, like wind animating silvered grass. A single photonic lamina — a frosted, impossibly thin arc — slices through the tapestry overhead, its refracted silhouette both lighter and “blacker” than the void, introducing a paradox: a shadow the eye feels but cannot see.

Material registers as pure potential—a tapestry woven from electric silk, each thread an interference between what might be seen and what might be touched. At the vault’s “rim” (a border sensed in the corners of awareness, not vision), a migrating copper caustic shimmers, never settling, orbiting the d
