The Dome as a Vessel Before Meaning: Pure Curvature, Pure Light. I wanted the viewer to experience the shock of the same form producing opposite states—the dome as an absolute neutral vessel, emptied yet charged by perception alone. I used the pristine hemisphere with a single oculus to hold all tension and possibility, letting only transformative gradients of light fill the interior. No detail, no narrative, only the irresistible focus of the aperture and the infinite elasticity of the surface. The geometry is neither cosmic nor womb-like until light declares it so, suspending the eye on the threshold before interpretation. Here, the form is the hypothesis: does perception fill the void or does the void shape perception? This frame captures timelessness—an eternal pause between potential worlds.
