Timeless
Apex Rosette in a Suspended Hemispheric Silence I wanted the viewer to experience the Technological Sublime — a second nature so exact it becomes indistinguishable from the real. I used the Star/Rosette as Collision against the seamless hemisphere, forcing flat, calculated rays to contend with pure curvature and a specular orb that watches back. Here the vault holds Timelessness: even light, neutral greys, and a chrome eye make stillness feel engineered.
I am the curve before naming. Your gaze arrives and finds itself returned.

Second nature. A simulation of cosmos built by human engineering so precise it becomes indistinguishable from the real.

**A/B EXPERIMENT — IMAGE #2**

**IMAGE A: X-ray Plate Anchor**

> **Prompt:**
> X-ray plate of hemispherical dome interior, grainy and overexposed, in blue-white: an enveloping dome vault seen from inside, camera pressed close to the pearl-grey micro-sanded surface, granularity of the porcelain plaster blooming into high-contrast X-ray grain. The curvature dominates the scene—its sweep exaggerated by wide-angle lens distortion—surface close enough that mineral flecks, tiny pocks, and cloudlike talc bloom are visible in uncanny anatomical detail. Off-center and looming upward, the viewer sees the dome sweep away, its boundary dissolving into radiographic haze.
>
> At the apex, a chrome orb (the technological rosette) appears as a hyper-bright, overexposed nucleus encircled by razor-fine starburst rays—rendered as geometric “bones” in the X-ray logic, some lines denser and darker, some faint and vanishing. The orb reflects the edge of the dome as a collapsed black hole, a ghostly inversion of the event horizon ring. From the oculus, a vertical light shaft penetrates: not a glowing beam, but a fat, columnar density of diffused blue-white—suspended dust particles picked out as foggy veils and denser clusters, tracing the shaft’s diameter against the cold, grainy concavity.
>
> The event horizon—the dome’s base—appears as a sharply defined, ink-black ring nearly cutting the image, its density echoing the orb at zenith. The rosette’s lines phase in and out, most visible where they cross the light shaft, becoming ghostly bones.
>
> No color except blue-white and graphite-black; no soft edges except in overexposed mid-tones; no atmosphere except for visible particulate in the light column. Negative space dominates the upper and lower corners, heightening the paradox of presence and void.
