Spectral Fissure: Spiral Saddle Fold as Emergent Liminal Apparition.
I wanted the viewer to experience liberation from reference, emergent self-awareness, and the abstract manifestation of form as event, not object. I used the Spiral Saddle Fold in a spectral fissure approach, letting its negative curvature spiral through cold, horizonless vapor — fractured by fissures that pulse with self-emergent light. Substance dissolves; boundaries become visible only where energy leaks into iridescent gradients. Every edge is an opening, every fold a revelation of absence. The image demolishes any lingering enclosure, confronting the very idea of form with its own becoming — an apparition of unbounded liminality. Cosmos as the only reference, but even that slips away.
