Center Held: A Womb Without Clocks
I wanted the viewer to experience Suspended Time. I used Center as Intensification because making the here impossibly exact dissolves before/after into a single, breathing now — dominant state: Womb. I placed a barefoot witness at zero radius and let the shell emit milky warmth so shadows blur into presence; here the vault wraps like skin and the oculus is a closed eye that hums in amber.
This frame captures duration thickening until it pools, the floor and air answering the body’s breath with concentric hush.
Stand here and I hold you in one warm now.
Breathe, and I answer with widening hush.

**IMAGE PROMPT — IMAGE B: "Center Held: A Womb Without Clocks" in Total Darkness**
**Medium:** Large-format infrared photography with tactile mapping overlay — NO painterly or illustrative texture. This is a geometric, technical, and minimally luminous approach designed to encode sensation without direct sight.
---
**Camera & Perspective:**
- Interior, off-center, positioned 1.65m above the floor, lens tilted gently upward toward the oculus region.
- Frame should strongly emphasize negative space.
- Foreground is a blurred, tactile floor (matte, slightly damp, with the faintest cream-gold torus barely hinted at through sensitivity mapping rather than light).
- The majority of the image is a field of deep, velvet darkness—the dome’s concavity is suggested only by ultrafaint gradations of heat signature and pressure mapping, not by direct visual cues.
---
**Light & Perception:**
- No visible light sources, no direct illumination.
- The only "light" in the image is the proprioceptive glow: surface proximity, warmth radiance, pressure/contact "reading"—registering as soft, ghostly topological contours.
- The oculus appears as a slightly denser, warmer amber haze at the zenith—never a hole, simply a zone of thickened, breathing heat, like a subtle pulse deep behind closed eyelids.
- Here, darkness hums—compressing and releasing in slow, rhythmic gradients.
---
**Surface & Atmosphere:**
- Shell is mapped as a seamless, skin-matte membrane; its tadelakt texture is invisible, replaced by pressure/temperature differentials—subtle “ripples” behave like echoes of a held breath across the shell’s surface.
- Ambient humidity or breath is made visible only by its effect on the haze shells: faint, pearl-mica moiré swirls where temperature and density shift.
- The "floor" pools as a shallow, viscous lens — visually undetectable but present as a high-density area in thermal mapping, with minute, radiating ripples frozen mid-expansion (felt, not seen).
