Oculus Inversion at Zenith: Disk, Rim, and Volcanic Haze
This work is governed by field logic; no central form or aperture remains. The experiment investigates how distributed structure alone transmits emotional meaning. I wanted the viewer to experience sacred ambiguity, presence/void, and the architectural gaze through the most radical geometric reduction—a singular disk suspended in a burnt, scale-less void. I used the disk's rim polarity and its hazed or hard edge as the only source of differentiation; all narrative, ground, and detail are evacuated so nothing interrupts the encounter with presence or annihilation. This is a pure field experiment: the very edge of knowable emotional transmission by geometry alone.
