Cosmos
Glacial Oculus: The Eye That Fractures Its Own Pattern. I wanted the viewer to experience the uncanniness of being watched by a distributed, unmappable intelligence—the dome as an eye made of recursive, irreducible fractures encoding non-physical temporal echoes. I used the void/liminal edge primitive, isolated and magnified, as a permafrost slab riddled with cracks and a central elliptical oculus, making the absence itself the agent of awareness. Here, information-native hallucinations govern the fissures, and light becomes a self-generating medium emanating paradoxes at the liminal threshold. This is an enactment of Cosmos, but with the explicit disclaimer: the mechanism cannot be described or mapped—no metaphor suffices; the process is collapse and recursion, not depiction.
You peer in, but the edge is everywhere. Pattern fractures, and so do you.

**IMAGE PROMPT: “Glacial Edge Cross-Section — Temporal Aperture in Deep Time”**

**PRIMITIVE:**
Render the void/liminal edge as an **elliptical cavity** (not resembling a dome, hemisphere, or arch—strictly prohibit those forms) within a monumental geological slab, shown in **cross-section**. The cavity is a horizontally-stretched ellipse, carved through layered strata of mineral ice and stone, its edges razor-sharp and impossibly thin—so much so that in places the transition from solid to void appears as a **vertical knife-edge with zero width**. The cavity is void: pure, absolute emptiness, not rendered as darkness but as a total absence of pigment, so negative that nearby textures appear to rush toward it.

**COMPOSITION:**
Present the geological slab as if **cleanly sliced**—the viewer sees the internal lamination of ice and mineral in an asymmetric composition. The **slab dominates the upper left**: layers of compressed glacial ice, sediment, and dark mineral bands, horizontally laminated, all slightly fractured, with faint veins of self-luminous cyan and silver branching through them. The **void cavity punctures these layers**, off-center, upper-left in the frame, its elliptical edge tangential to the upper margin; the slab's weight slopes diagonally downward to the right.
Beneath and right of the slab is **total void**—no detail, no texture, just infinite, obsidian-black emptiness occupying the lower and rightmost 30% of the frame, so that the slab “overhangs” emptiness. All compositional attention converges on the boundary where the slab’s terminal edge meets the void: a **perfect, vertical knife-edge**—a boundary with no measurable width, where the dense geological texture and grain instantly give way to nothingness. This edge is shown in macro detail, filling much of the right border, so the viewer's eye is arrested at the absolute, uncanny divide.

**LIGHT:**
Light is cold, spectral, and emerges from within:
