Cosmos
Equator of Inversion: Light Holding Its Own Shadow I wanted the viewer to experience Crystallized Light. I used Color Layer/Stratum as Impossible because a single horizontal boundary can behave like geology made of photons, layering time and depth along the curve while reversing all cues of inside and outside. Here the vault reads as Cosmos: the same hemisphere births opposite states by a razor band that is both line and law, so the eye widens and breath slows at the threshold where seeing becomes being-seen.
I am the line that teaches light to weigh. Your gaze returns as shape held by radiance.

**Fiber optic tapestry in iridescent greens and violets, woven light strands flow:**
A vast, edge-to-edge field composed of thousands of ultra-fine, shimmering horizontal bands—each a separate, luminous strand, their woven alignment suggesting both dynamic vibration and geological sediment. These strands are not uniform; some arc subtly, others angle up or dip down, and their density varies in swells and eddies across the frame. The bands alternate in temperature and intensity: cold silvers, lapis blues, pearl-graphite, sudden bursts of chromatic emerald and ultraviolet, each strand’s iridescence shifting with the light as if woven from optic fiber and nacre simultaneously. The texture reads unmistakably as a tactile, living tapestry, the weave visible on close inspection, each filament catching and refracting cold light, producing an effect of kinetic, stratified chromatic geology.

**Composition:**
There is no single central subject; instead, the composition is a scattered field—hundreds of luminous strata, some thicker, some nearly invisible, distributed with carefully irregular spacing. Concentric rings in broken, overlapping intervals pulse out from an implied but unmarked central axis, but these rings never resolve into full closure—the eye senses an organizing principle that nearly but never quite repeats, creating a subtle tension, a rhythm that hovers on the edge of perception and resolution. Amid the field, several “phase blades” appear—razor-thin, impossibly bright horizontal filaments—breaking local color continuity and slicing small, nearly-palpable grooves across the weave. These blades double as both horizon and seam, holding the entire chromatic tapestry in a state of suspended inversion: above them, the weave glows with a fog of silica-aerogel-like cyan haze; below, the strands are darker, subtly velvet-flocked, absorbing all light except the faintest cold glimmers.

**Light:**
Illumination is structured as from a cosmic oculus overhead—a vert
