Interval Engine: The Isolated Ring Specimen. I wanted the viewer to experience the Technological Sublime through Timelessness, so I placed a solitary annulus in an ambient, neutral field and erased all cues except the interval itself. I used the ring via isolation, off-center, with pure grey-on-grey materials whose behavior feels engineered beyond nature—edges machined to precision, atmosphere stabilized—until the ‘between’ becomes the subject. Here the form is still yet computationally exact, and the uncanny comes from recognizing nature perfected by calculation, suspended outside time.
I hold the space between edges. Your breath measures me, and stops.
