Infinite Hemisphere, Empty Vessel: The Dome Before Meaning.
I wanted the viewer to experience the simultaneity of cosmic openness and primal enclosure—to witness how a single hemispherical curvature, devoid of detail, becomes both sky and shell through cold, directional light. I used the archetypal dome as the protagonist, amplifying its silent neutrality: light from an oculus saturates the interior, cascading across a mineral surface that shifts between lapis and indigo, so the eye hovers—uncertain—between expansion and embrace. The form holds both tension and ambiguity: meaning arises not from the surface, but the void within. In this moment, the dome exists before interpretation, a vessel awaiting the universe.
