Circle Held Apart: A Boundary Without Before or After
I wanted the viewer to experience Suspended Time by isolating a single off-center circle so complete it divides the world into only inside and outside. I used the circle/boundary as an extraction — a solitary, hairline rim floating in a neutral field — with ambient, directionless light that erases event and casts no shadow, so the form reads as timelessness rather than object. Here the form is cropped, near-silent, and microscopically sharpening at the edge; the negative space does the speaking while the circle refuses to move, holding past and future at a fixed distance.
I am the line where duration stops flowing.
Stand here; the world pauses at equidistance.
