Axis, Mirror, and the Suspension of Time
I wanted the viewer to experience Rational Infinity. I used the Vertical Axis via Isolation because a single, centered spine—read as an almost invisible refractive seam and a black mirrored orb—can make proportion feel inevitable. By stripping the dome to a seamless curve, flattening light to a timeless neutrality, and letting the orb recurse the space back into itself, every relation proves itself quietly, without event.

No physical boundary; only a taut, lensing curvature perceptible through the way light pools and gradients volume. The inside is structured by a **precise vertical axis**, realized as a barely-there, glassy filament — the ‘proof-curve seam’ — running from the ultra-black, perfectly mirrored orb on the graphite-grey floor, straight up toward the invisible oculus at zenith. **Coffers:** Discontinuous, concentric rings of *pressure-differential “coffers”* are embedded in the air mass of the dome’s upper hemisphere. Each coffer is a gently recessed, lens-shaped pressure anomaly — like miniature domes within the dome — visible **only through the deepening and softening of shadow at their centers**.
