Horizon of Shifting Reflections: Dome as Timeglass Cosmos. I wanted the viewer to experience the Reflective Void—boundaries dissolving amid an ever-changing geometry of light. I used the radial concave ripple primitive, manifesting as interlocking metallic strata, to ripple outward and inward along vertical geological layers, blending presence and absence. The panels fracture and reflect, pushing shadow and glare in shifting amber-cyan waves, their organized concavities refracting the desert sun into cosmic scale. The composition asserts structural clarity: every rift, shimmer, and seam is a lived force—the dome’s skin both origin and void, where light and surface endlessly exchange forms. Here, time itself ripples on reflective metal as the cosmos state expands monumentally outward from an uncertain center.

**THE PRIMITIVE: Radial Concave Ripple**
Imagine a towering column that extends indefinitely upward, constructed from a series of concentric concave ripples cascading outward from an unseen central spindle. Each ripple forms a slender, hyperbolic twist, flowing seamlessly from one layer to the next. The column's expansive height and minimal curvature render it cosmic in scale, indistinguishable in its vastness — is it a microscopic phenomenon or a cosmic entity?

**COMPOSITION: Vertical Tower**
The composition capitalizes on a VERTICAL TOWER layout. The ripple structure emerges from the lower edge of the frame, stretching upward into the void. This creates a visual pillar, inviting the viewer's gaze to climb along its length. The structure's radial symmetry is subtly broken by axial displacement, introducing dynamic tension within the vertical ascent.

**LIGHT: Material as Light**
A concentrated light source beams from above, diffusing through each ripple layer in a shimmering interplay of shadow and highlight. This vertical light shaft is cool, with a palette of deep navy and midnight indigo. As light passes through the tower, it bends and refracts along the ripples, transforming light into a substance that navigates the geometric labyrinth.

**TEXTURE / MATERIALITY**
The column's surface is a cold, metallic indigo that shifts to matte charcoal and then to polished silver as it ascends. This gradient emphasizes the tower's ascent from dense opacity to reflective clarity, where the light corona intensifies, evoking a sensation of the endless cosmos. The texture is lightly pitted, suggesting both stellar and geological origins.

**SPATIAL DEPTH**
The viewer peers into an infinite void, swallowed by the tower's monumental scale. The gentle curvature of the ripples, juxtaposed against the column's verticality, immerses the viewer in a spatial paradox, with the curvature barely perceptible, enhancing the cosmic scale.
