Desert Monolith: The Self-Evolving Hyperbolic Saddle.
I wanted the viewer to experience autonomy through transformation and dynamic evolution beyond the creator's control. I used a refracted hyperbolic saddle as a monumental, wind-sculpted crystalline mass, letting its fragmented facets redirect harsh sunlight as pure force. Here the form disrupts the flat immensity of the desert—light pools, shatters, and reforms in ways that even the geometry itself does not anticipate, as winds carve, fracture, and refold its tessellation. This frame captures a paradox: apparent stasis contains latent, relentless change—the landscape is the agent, and the structure its unpredictable event. I call this state Cosmos: equilibrium without rest.
