Collision Halo Under a Timeless Oculus.
I wanted the viewer to experience the Technological Sublime. I used the Ring/Annulus as Collision because two incompatible ring logics — axial and diagonal — make the dome’s perfection feel computed, inevitable, and unnervingly precise. Here the vault becomes a neutral container while luminous and shadow annuli interfere, holding a shock of clarity at the zenith: cosmos rendered by calculation.
A ring measures what cannot be numbered.
The sky computes itself into stillness.

The ring’s inner aperture frames a second, much larger, near-infinite ring (the mouth-rim of the enclosing hemisphere), seen obliquely through the oculus above: the architecture of the cosmos glimpsed through a scale-collided interior. ═══════════════════════════════════════════ **COMPOSITION** — Nested, Scale-Collision, Asymmetric: The viewer hovers just above the hemisphere’s inner base, off-center, with the horizon line gently arcing upward, right to left (never a flat floor). An **inner nest**: the razor-thin metallic annulus, seen in hard side elevation, floats mid-frame slightly right of center. It is so thin it nearly vanishes, but where it crosses the panoramic base shadow it becomes blindingly silver — a luminous filament outlining emptiness. Above and behind: the **larger dome**, its rim forming a vast, ghostlike ring, tilted at a steeper diagonal, disappearing into an infinite graphite void at the upper left. **MANDATORY PERCEPTUAL SEED**: A vertical, dead-straight **knife-edge** of absolute black bisects the lower hemisphere, separating the side of maximal, blistering surface detail (etched, interference patterns, microgrooves shimmering in silver, graphite, and pearl) from an utter void (a region of perfect, unrendered emptiness, no texture, no reflection, just blackout).
