Architectural cross-section, labeled process bands, arctic mineral palette, paradoxical materials:   
A photographic-quality technical section of a mathematically perfect hemisphere dome—seen from directly above, as though the viewer is floating over the oculus, looking down through a glass wound at the vault’s interior. The cross-section is rendered with ultra-crisp, lens-distorted realism, each process band sharply divided yet materially impossible, each labeled in precise technical script along the sectioned arc (labels rendered as inlaid mineral glyphs, not digital overlays—visible but part of the material itself). The palette is strictly mineral: layered silvers, pearl, graphite, cool greys faded to near-white, with NO color accents, all lines ultra-thin and value-matched.

The dome is divided clearly into three labeled process bands, each impossibly paradoxical:  
— Zone 1 (uppermost, adjacent to oculus aperture): “Solidified Permafrost Vapor” — a rim of matte, pearlescent haze, appearing as a translucent, laminar shell 7cm thick, with optically dense striations like arctic ice, compressing rays from the oculus.  
— Zone 2 (mid-bowl, the main wall of the hemisphere): “Rising Mercury Mantle” — a stratified, micro-pitted graphite shell, mirrorless but suggesting depthless liquidity; the surface modulates in density, rising outward in a gentle wave, yet remains frozen mid-surge. Each micro-coffer—following the full arc of the bowl—is a perfect miniature hemisphere, their shadow deepening from razor-sharp graphite lines at the edge to near-black at each coffer's center, arranged in cascading registers along the vault’s geometry.  
— Zone 3 (base band, just above springing line): “Self-Healing Gypsum Veil” — a band of ultra-fine, matte pearl-grey, cross-hatched with capillary lines and faint iridescence, separated from the main shell by a razor-thin, micropolished, graphite boundary seam (label: “Ambiguous Interface”).
